When Vicky left school she trained as a ballet and contemporary dancer for three years and after graduating she worked successfully for over twenty years as a performer, choreographer and teacher of dance and movement. However, the rigorous life of a dancer left her with an ankle injury which forced her into "early retirement" at the tender age of 33 years! She then decided to retrain and study at University reading English and Drama. She passed with a first class honours degree. She then continued her academic studies for a fourth year when she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

Vicky believes passionately that "Every Child Matters" and safe guarding is of paramount importance to enable each individual learner the opportunity to flourish and grow, regardless of their previous experiences. This is why before the first session commences parents are shown hard copies of all Vicky's qualifications and current DBS certificate.

Within her sessions and tutorials Vicky has outstanding skills in differentiating learning activities to suit each individual and each class is planned in line with the National Curriculum. However, invariably parents and carers have contacted Vicky because they have identified that their child needs some additional support and there may well be gaps in their knowledge that need revising. Vicky's professionalism and highly effective tutoring abilities, coupled with her superb inter-personal and communication skills enable her to liaise with students, colleagues, parents and other professionals in an effective and calm manner. Vicky teaches and plans sessions specifically for the examination board your child is studying.

During her spare time Vicky enjoys writing her own poetry and is currently writing a short film for television. She also loves spending time with her three children and their nutty dog, Sniff.
